Awareness
Healthcare Consortium of Illinois (HCI) spearheaded a consortium of providers and community-based organizations that applied for and were successfully awarded a planning grant for health information exchange in Medical Trading Area 14 in the South Suburbs of Chicago. Over the course of the next year, HCI and its planning grant partners will be convening meetings and conducting community outreach and stakeholder engagement to plan for ways that the healthcare industry participants in the region can maximize their participation in state and Federal government initiatives around health information exchange.
